Self-assessment of academic writing in an online learning environment

چکیده
Successful academic writing courses include self-assessment opportunities for foreign language learners. Encouraging students to actively engage with their own texts is even more relevant when are offered in a hybrid or entirely online learning environment. During distance education, measuring becoming problematic, reflecting on and experimenting work can inform the teacher, but importantly, promote deeper understanding of process written product. An effective revision self-editing draft requires top-down bottom-up approaches text. This study discusses how assess three levels: lexically, syntactically, at discourse level by incorporating corpus linguistic tools process. includes vocabulary profiling, evaluating cohesion analysing variation register genres. The exercises beneficial undergraduate also teacher translator training.
